  Around the world, students have one problem in common: money. “How do I finance my studies and my living expenses? Can I afford to take a holiday? And will a night out break my budget?” — sounds familiar?
  
  But there are many discounts available to students, so it's high time you got to know the most important ones!   ‍

🔍 What exactly is happening here?

• TLDR: Listing all the possible discounts would go beyond the scope of this newsletter. Instead we want to show you how to find them — and we’ve also picked out three good ones for you.
  
  
• International Student Identity Card — never heard of it?
  No? The International Student Identity Card — or ISIC for short — is your international student ID. It lets you save money in over 130 countries, and gets you a discount off most admission fees. 
  
  ISIC - I see!
  Just as the German student ID allows you to save money on train tickets, the ISIC allows you to benefit from a variety of discounts internationally — from hotel bookings, long-distance bus tickets, everyday products, and sporting events. Just check www.isic.de and see where you can save money. 
  
  Easy peasy!
  All you need to apply for the ISIC are your certificate of enrollment, a recent passport photo, and 15 €. Where do you do that? You can find the online application right here.

• UNiDAYS for your Uni Days!
  It's not funny, but it's true: UNiDAYS is a platform where students can save money every day. You’ll find discounts for a whole host of brands including Adidas, Sky, Apple, Levis, RayBan.

  As soon as you are enrolled as a student, you can register on the platform here. Pretty simple, isn't it?

🤓 What does this mean for me?

• It is worth comparing offers!
  It only takes a minute! The next time you want to order something straight away, remember that it’s worth comparing offers and checking out the available discounts before you buy. 
• Show who you are!
  Sometimes it is enough to simply ask companies for a student discount. For example, at Apple it’s enough to show your student ID at the app store to get up to 10% off.‍
